Now, let’s be real—my focus is usually on helping nurses get away from the bedside grind once they’ve had enough. But I know having nurses at the bedside will always be important and I gave my honest answer:

💰 Higher pay (because… obviously).

🗓 Respecting scheduling preferences (so we’re getting some balance that feels good to us).

✨ Giving nurses real influence (not just a seat on a committee that gets ignored).

What I mean by that last one is recognizing & genuinely appreciating that our knowledge and experience is valuable and harnessing that for good. Let us suggest improvements and empower us to make those changes.

But if I’m being totally honest… I know an administrator might hear that and think I sound out of touch. Because yeah, I get it—easier said than done. But something has to give!
